Abstract

미래에는 3D 프린터가 STL 파일을 자동으로 repair해서 출력해주는 세상이 도래할 것으로 예상하지만, 현실은 Dental CAD(Computer Aided Design) 등의 3D modeling software에서 디자인한 occlusal splint가 출력이 되지 않고, 치과모형 출력시 Error가 발생하며, 임플란트 surgical guide 또는 정성스럽게 scan 한 틀니가 3D 프린터로 출력이 되지 않는 상황에 처하게 되면 치과임상의는 당황하게 된다.(1, 2) 이러한 경우 무료로 사용할 수 있는 소프트웨어를 이용하여 치과임상에 필요한 STL file이 3D 프린팅이 가능하도록 고칠 수 있는 방법을 소개하고자 한다.

While three?dimensional models of occlusal splint and complete denture may look perfect, the 3D printing software would not let you print because 3D models aren’t printable. There are several STL repair software tools that will show dental clinician the problems of STL files and repair STL 3D modeling files for 3D printing. In this article, author showed how to fix STL files and introduce STL repair software tools for clinical application of 3D printing in dentistry.
